TIMELINE

Our journey that
we are proud of…

  • 2016 FOUNDED

    2016 FOUNDED

After a few years of working together in multiple capacities, for example joining the same multilevel marketing team  to sell beauty products online, Naomi Cook and W.E. Da’Cruz decided to join forces and relaunch a former company of Naomi’s called Virtual Global Consultant to Virtual Global Consultant Group, also known as, The VGC Group.

  • 2017 CLIENTS INCREASED

    2017 CLIENTS INCREASED

After launching the company, Naomi and W.E. were still open to finding jobs elsewhere while the company grew. However, after multiple attempts to land jobs with larger companies failed, the founders decided if they weren’t going to get hired, they would hire themselves. Within a year of launching the company, Naomi and W.E.  landed faith-based clients as well as other businesses and personal brands. Additionally, Da’Cruz’ unexpected move to Detroit forced the company to quickly develop a strong virtual infrastructure that would allow the company to grow.

  • 2018 TEAM EXPANDED

    2018 TEAM EXPANDED

As donations increased online for faith-based organizations, the company began focusing on small-to-medium sized businesses in emerging markets starting with Africa. This pivot in direction opened up more opportunities for VGC to support entrepreneurs by using eCommerce to increase consumer-based product sales. With the success of working with African-based entrepreneurs, VGC built partnerships with local and government entities in the Detroit area and in Ghana, West Africa. This allowed for the launching of the companies internship program with University of Michigan – Dearborn and the hiring of team members in Ghana and Kenya.

  • 2019 GLOBAL REACH

    2019 GLOBAL REACH

Officially located in 3 places: Mahway, New Jersey; Detroit, Michigan; and Accra, Ghana – the VGC Group is not stopping. International presence has expanded online for VGC clients as well as the company. VGC was invited by the Corporate Council on Africa and Embassy of Mozambique to speak on a panel entitled Transforming African Economies through Digitalization  and the US-Africa Business Summit. The work of the company and the impact it’s having on entrepreneurs in emerging markets has been monumental.
