Background
Aftown Mall eCommerce Workshops 2020
In the move to make African small scale businesses competitive, the use of internet in trade (e-commerce) has been promoted. Internet provides modest cost and quick level of connectivity leading to rapid growth of eCommerce businesses. Whereast this type of trade has been embraced in the developed part of the globe, their application in the African continent remains low due to limited capacity in terms of skills. To improve this state of affairs, the Aftown Mall eCommerce workshops intend to introduce a blended learning approach focused on eCommerce and digital technologies targeting unique African-based small to Medium-sized companies, startups, aspiring African-based business owners and University students undertaking business courses with ICT blend. The pilot approach will involve integrating the proposed course content into existing bachelor degree course modules offered at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) and Makerere University.
